Sarah was born and raised in the shadow of Dollywood, in Sevier County, Tennessee. She moved to Johnson City to attend ETSU in 1998, where she was a varsity cheerleader for four years, and graduated with a degree in Finance. Her second degree from ETSU was her Master of Arts in Teaching, which propelled her into her first career–teaching. Many of the skills that made her a successful teacher have also served her clients well in her real estate career.
Ryan is a native of Johnson City, Tennessee. He attended ETSU, where he was a baseball player for four years, and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. His career has included success in the pharmaceutical, commercial insurance, and real estate industries, including four years as Team Leader/CEO of KW Johnson City, helping over 150 agents produce over 1,900 transactions and $445 million in sales volume production each year.
In 2022, the McKinney team was the #1 ranked group in all of Keller Williams in the Tri-Cities. Even more noteworthy, in that same year, Sarah was honored to receive the prestigious Eagle Award for KW Johnson City. Nominated by, and voted on by her KW Realtor colleagues, the award is given to one agent per year in each Keller Williams office that exemplifies the culture of the business, exhibits leadership in the industry, and maintains high moral and ethical standards among peers.
They have cemented connections through community involvement in local schools, non-profits, and neighborhood activities. Both love living and working in Johnson City and the surrounding areas, and share a sincere passion for their community. That passion is reflected through frequent participation in events that support and give back to the area. Due to a personal connection with grieving parents over the years, they have been advocates and board members for multiple organizations assisting with fundraising efforts. Sarah also served on the board for Habitat for Humanity. Together, they have volunteered to coach their children’s sports teams throughout the years. Both serve on the PTA at Indian Trail Middle School, and Sarah additionally volunteers at Lake Ridge Elementary. They have also served on their neighborhood HOA Board, and Ryan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Johnson City Chamber.

Ryan and Sarah worked with us on very short notice and did an exemplary job! We were able to meet with them, receive their recommendations for listing—they even provided contacts for some jobs we needed done quickly and we listed and went under contract in just over 24 hours!!They were spot on for the listing price and secured over asking price for us ! A similar property on our street is still on the market after 107 days so I credit our efficient sale with a great listing price and sound advice if what needed to be done before it went on the market!
